An apple a day to avoid child asthma?...very interesting research report below. Researchers really don't know why, neither do I. It is perhaps not a random correlation that Ayurvedic physician Dr. Ramakant Mishra actually recommends many of his clients (preg or not) to eat a stewed apple every morning (after taking their first morning water to drink). Specifically, he has us spear each quarter of apple with a whole clove, and reports that the vitamin C actually magnifies with this combination when cooked.
