• September 24-26, 2010 "Ayurvedic Postpartum Massage and Home Spa Care". HANDS ON. 18 hours. This program Includes detailed instruction in safety and special needs protocols for massage therapists and related therapies appropriate from day 1 with normal vaginal delivery or 7-10 days after most C-births; test and optional interns' homework.   Please email to initiate your registration with the following information: Name, age, phone numbers, your location, time zone, a few words about why you want to take these classes, your background and any prerequisite training, experience with mothering, #children and marital or partnership status and good times to call.

  You are welcome to place your order for Option 1 or 2. As soon as this requested information is received from you by email and any needed discussion takes place between us, you will receive your confirmation by email.

  Option 1

  This includes the live or virtual learning opportunities. There are no 1 or 2 week intensives this year.

  Students will have access in the FALL 2010, to

  • Ayurvedic Postpartum Massage training over an 18 hour weekend. $350. Pre-enrolled and paid AyurDoula program students will receive a $50 discount on the massage weekend
  • Perinatal Essential Oils 6 sessions via phone or internet, live or through recordings. Pre-enrolled and paid AyurDoula students receive a discount according to cost of the perinatal essential oils unit if you already have it.
  • Access to extensive materials for your e-download is included in the costs, except for your own printing expenses for the Essential Oils series. You do not have to order them in addition.
  • If you are interested in the other Ayurvedic Postpartum Care or prerequisite classes, Sacred Window Ayurveda provides options for home study when there are not classes available to you.

  You will receive a Paypal invoice after we talk about what you want to do and you have decided. We do not yet have order buttons for this program.

  • The cost of printing up your materials at a copy shop once your receive the download depends on size of each class's materials. I can't give you an estimate there, aside from seeing it range from 3 cents to 10 cents a page - do shop around! With possible updates, it is difficult to post set page counts until 2 weeks before the class.
  • Until I can create paypal buttons, you will be sent an invoice from Paypal for secure credit card or bank payment, or send us a cashier's check or money order to Sacred Window Ayurveda, c/o Ysha Oakes, 12408 Hardin Ct. NE Apt. A, Albuquerque, NM 87111.

  Option 2

  • For those on low budget or low technology access, this is less expensive. You may simply purchase the e-downloads for written class materials. This option is on the shoppe page. Of course it is also a less in depth learning experience due to not having teacher contact except for limited access in the internship calls program. The Ayurdoula certificate is not available for this option but students completing homework may receive a certificate for their class studies.
  • Full secure shopping cart and order buttons are on the shoppe pages. $138 for e-downloads purchased separately or $125 purchased together. Internship supervision is $225 or save $15 more when paid with the bundled materials order at $335. Prices subject to change.

  Answers to Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Yes, the written materials are available for purchase as one full package (saves you money) or piece by piece as e-downloads.
  2. Payment by credit card and accommodating international exchange is possible wherever Paypal.com handles international payments. Students in the US may post a money order by mail. Please see my page on program costs for options and details there.
  3. There will be recommended supplies in addition which vary by your location and many choices. This includes practical items such as culinary and a few medicinal herbals, foods and used or new massage linens and tables. We will suggest favorite sources for some items such as unusual ingredients, massage oils and essential oils.
  4. Each unit includes extensive class materials, a test and homework plus possible extra reading materials
  5. Each unit also has homework, basically a short list of exercises to begin putting into practice what you are learning. Homework doubles as your internship practicum requirements.
  6. Modules will be audio or videotaped according to the schedule posted, and most of them except the hands on, will be available by live and recorded telephone call, for the cost of your long distance call only; or there will be .wav or.mp3 files which can be accessed through the computer if you prefer.
  7. Internship begins then with the first unit and is an option to home study students. It involves 5 hours telephone time with Ysha in discussion about your practicum, based on your experience, your client's experience and following a set protocol for evaluation and tweaking your understanding of the work as one is doing it.
  8. International students may want to set up a SKYPE account to save money on phone calls.
  9. Students receive access to the private student/practitioner forum and the perinatal Ayurveda mothers and professionals forum.
  10. Certificates for attendance by webinar, in person or home study will be given upon completion of the homework for that class if you are not intending to do the whole program.
  11. Certificates in Ayurvedic Doula Care or Ayurvedic Postpartum Care are offered to those who have completed all requirements including pre-reqs and a basic postpartum doula training, and successfully completed all tests, internship requirements and documentation for all required courses.
